Autism andADHD

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) are neurodevelopmental disorders that affect behavior, social interaction, and communication. ASD is characterised by challenges in social communication and restricted, repetitive patterns of behavior, while ADHD involves symptoms of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. Early diagnosis and intervention are crucial for improving outcomes and helping individuals with these conditions reach their full potential.

At Reach Life, we take a neuroaffirming approach to neurodiversity. We understand that these conditions are permanent and part of who you are. So rather than trying to treat you to make symptoms go away, we will work collaboratively with you to work out how you live with neurodivergence, embracing all of yourself so that you build your sense of esteem and worth. This could involve helping navigate sensory challenges, making adaptations to your workplace, school or home environment to allow you to thrive more fully, or process trauma as a result of society’s treatment of you. You are in the driver’s seat, and we aim to empower you to thrive on your own terms.

Reach Life can provide multidisciplinary assessment as well as tailored therapy support for Autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental disorders, for people with and without NDIS funding. We can provide treatment under the new Medicare item numbers for treatment and assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders.
