Lauren graduated from Curtin University in with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy (Honours)). During her studies, she completed a thesis exploring the impact of emotional intelligence professional development courses on the practice of Occupational Therapists. She has experience working with individuals with a range of diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, anxiety and depression, global developmental delay, PTSD, and cerebral palsy.
Lauren’s practice is focused on supporting clients in areas such as fine motor development, emotional and sensory regulation, independence in self-care, protective behaviours, social skills, and life transitions. She is also skilled in conducting assessments, including Functional Capacity Assessments and Sensory Processing Assessments.
With three years of experience in the community disability sector, Lauren is confident in navigating the NDIS and supporting clients and their families to understand their NDIS plans and advocate for their needs. She also has experience working with Medicare and privately funded clients.
In addition to her work as an Occupational Therapist, Lauren has over three years of experience as a disability support worker, where she developed strong skills in rapport building, communication, and advocacy.
She is passionate about providing client-centred care, building meaningful connections, and creating a safe and supportive space where each person can thrive and live their best life.
